As the experts from Geosphere Austria predicted on Thursday, it will be very warm with up to twelve degrees at the beginning of next week due to high air pressure, especially in the east of the country.
The forecast for the coming week
Am Freitag Clouds often continue to build up on the north side of the Alps and it rains or snows once more and once more; the snowfall limit is between 400 and 1,000 meters. Away from the dams, there will be short showers in the northern half. In the east and south it often stays dry and there are occasional breaks. The sun appears most often in the south. The wind blows weak to moderate, at higher altitudes sometimes strong to stormy, from west to north. The early temperatures are minus five to plus four degrees, the daily maximum temperatures are one to seven degrees.
First of all, stick to it Saturday From Salzburg to the Vienna Woods there are still some remaining clouds and the last showers are falling, the snowfall limit is between 300 and 900 meters. In the west and south, partly sunny weather is becoming more and more common as the air pressure increases. However, fog or high fog can sometimes persist quite stubbornly in the lowlands. There will be moderate winds from the west to northwest, especially in the north and east, and sometimes brisk in exposed locations. The early temperatures reach minus six to plus three degrees, the daily maximum temperatures two to nine degrees.
High pressure influence is on Sunday weather-determining, a weak disturbance zone only appears in the north in the evening. Occasionally there are patches of fog in the inner Alps and in the south, otherwise the sun will be out for longer. Clouds are most likely to pass through at times in the north and east in the followingnoon. The wind blows weak to moderately from mostly westerly directions. The early temperatures range widely between minus seven in East Tyrol and plus three degrees in the eastern lowlands. The maximum daily temperatures then climb to three to ten degrees.
Am Montag The high air pressure in the Eastern Alpine region continues to determine the weather. Away from locally thick fog fields, sunshine usually predominates. Only in the northeast do harmless cloud fields pass through at times. The wind blows regionally moderate to brisk in the east, but otherwise mostly only weak. The early temperatures are between minus six degrees in some Alpine valleys and plus four degrees with wind in the east, the daily maximum temperatures are four to twelve degrees.
As well on Tuesday The high air pressure and mild air masses in the Eastern Alpine region determine the weather. Very sunny weather prevails once more in many cases. Cloud fields are most likely to be noticeable in the north and east at times, but it will remain dry. The wind initially blows moderately from the west in the north, later weakly everywhere. Early temperatures: minus five to plus five degrees, with the high values in the windy east. Maximum daily temperatures: four to twelve degrees.
