Up 0.67% in Friday’s session

Stock prices returned to an upward trajectory in today’s session at the Athens Stock Exchange after yesterday’s corrective retreat, with the market closing at new 9-year highs, approaching the levels of 1,280 units.

The shares of Mytileneos, Motor Oil, OPAP and Titan stood out from the high capitalization. The General Price Index on the Athens Stock Exchange closed at 1,277.56 points, marking an increase of 0.67%.

It is the highest close since the June 20, 2014 session (1,305.93 points). Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,280.16 units (+0.87%).

On a weekly basis, the main stock market index registered a rise of 1.26%, since the beginning of June it has strengthened to a percentage of 4.83%, while since the beginning of the year it has recorded gains of a percentage of 37.40%. The value of the transactions amounted to 186.68 million euros, while 44,396,225 shares were traded.

The large-cap index gained 0.79%, while the mid-cap index gained 1.04%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Mytileneos (+3.64%), Motor Oil (+2.75%), OPAP (+2.45%), Titan (+2, 38%), Ellactor (+2.13%) and OTE (+1.94%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Sarantis (-3.38%), Ethniki (-2.23%), Aegean Airlines (-1.79%) and GEK TERNA (-1.28%).

Of the individual indices, the Industrial Products (+3.26%) and Oil (+2.42%) indices showed the biggest increase, while the Financial Services indices (-0.54%) and of Banks (-0.53%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 12,567,772 and 9,798,631 shares, respectively. The highest value of transactions was recorded by Alpha Bank with 19.37 million euros and OTE with 17.67 million euros.
66 stocks moved up, 41 down and 19 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: VIS +10.00% and Lavipharm +7.02%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Ninerva -8.77% and Plastics of Crete -3.53%.
