Romaine Mundle has only been a Standard player for a few weeks. The English right winger is impatient to discover the hell of Sclessin.
Mundle, 20, was officially announced at Standard de Liège a month ago. Since then, he has had the opportunity to wear the colors of the club in a friendly, and during the club’s first meeting in the league this season (1-0 defeat at Saint-Trond).
The young Englishman has not yet been able to taste the atmosphere of the Sclessin stadium, known to be hot during major events.
In an interview with Eleven Sports, he explained that he had learned about the lair of Standard and its public. “The fans are amazing. I’ve seen a lot of videos of them, from the stadium as well. I’ve seen how they interact with the players. I’ve seen a few games. What I take away is that the fans are crazy . In a good way,” he said.
