The alleged Gilgo Beach serial killer allegedly hired women resembling his alleged victims and then humiliated them by forcing them to perform meaningless tasks, a former co-worker of the suspect has claimed at New York Post.

Rex Heuermann, who has been dubbed “the ogre of Gilgo Beach” by local media, is a married man, family man and architect who in the past allegedly hired several women whose physiques were similar to those of the four female victims of the Long Island serial killer.
According to his ex-colleague, who asked to be renamed “Eric”, the 6ft, 4in tall man seemed to have a fascination with short women, who were often 5ft or under, whom he engaged and was particularly unkind to.
He ordered them to do degrading chores such as serving him his coffee or moving his car.
Eric, who has worked Rex Heuermann on several occasions since the late 90s, claims to have in his possession emails from the alleged killer sent shortly before the discoveries of several of his alleged victims.
This one would have written on March 25, 2011, a few days before the remains of Jessica Taylor were found, that he had to stay at home because he was sick.
In another message, there would be evidence that Heuermann was out of office from April 21 to 26, 2011, weeks following 11 bodies were found on a beach.
Eric claims to have stopped working with Heuermann because he was “stingy”. He mentions that he was not at all surprised to learn of his former colleague’s arrest.
“He always had this sinister look,” he proclaims.
