The children who are hosted at the “ABET HASMAN” KDAPAmeA of the Social Organization of the Municipality of Patreon, went on a one-day educational trip to Nafplion and Mycenae.
This is the first educational excursion for the 2024-2025 school year of the “ABET HASMAN” KDAPAmeA and the majority of the beneficiaries, accompanying parents and the staff of the Center took part.

The excursionists visited the archaeological site of Mycenae, the tomb of Atreus and wandered through the alleys of Nafplio for an afternoon drink, with the children’s enthusiasm evident throughout the excursion.
The purpose of the excursion was for the children to have a good time and also to understand first-hand the information provided by the KDAP staff during their stay at the center, while the choice of the places visited was made to understand the connection and continuity of History and of our Culture.
The action is included in the program of educational and recreational visits of the Social Organization’s KDAPAmeA, which are made with a view to equal access, equal opportunities and the inclusion of people with disabilities.
Coach transport, tithing and meals were covered by the Social Organisation. Next is the excursion of KDAPAmeA “KOMAITHO” on October 11.

“Empowering Young Minds: The Power of Educational Excursions”
In a heartwarming display of dedication to the growth and development of young minds, the “ABET HASMAN” KDAPAmeA of the Social Organization of the Municipality of Patreon, recently embarked on a one-day educational trip to Nafplion and Mycenae. This enriching experience, which marked the first educational excursion of the 2024-2025 school year, brought together a vast majority of the beneficiaries, accompanying parents, and staff members of the Center.
The trip was designed with a noble purpose in mind – to provide a platform for the children to not only have a wonderful time but also to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. By visiting the archaeological site of Mycenae and the tomb of Atreus, the excursionists witnessed firsthand the rich cultural and historical heritage that is so integral to our collective identity. The carefully curated itinerary allowed the participants to appreciate the continuity of history and the profound impact it has on our present and future.
What struck me the most about this initiative is the unwavering commitment to creating opportunities for underprivileged children to access enriching experiences. Educational excursions, like this one, can be life-changing for young minds, broadening their perspectives, and instilling in them a love for learning that transcends the confines of a classroom.
This fantastic endeavor is a testament to the importance of holistic development and the vital role that organizations like the Social Organization of the Municipality of Patreon play in shaping the future of our society. By empowering the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and change-makers, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
As I reflect on the significance of this event, I am reminded of the wise words, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” The children who participated in this educational trip are indeed preparing for a brighter tomorrow, and we can’t help but feel inspired by their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
Kudos to the organizers, participants, and the staff of the “ABET HASMAN” KDAPAmeA for making this enriching experience a reality. I look forward to seeing more initiatives that invest in the growth and development of our young minds.
