The Independent/- NASA shared a stunningly detailed image of the pillars of creation in the Vulture Nebula, captured by the infrared camera of the James Webb Space Telescope. In the caption for the image, NASA wrote, “Near infrared light allows us to see beneath gas and dust and reveals countless stars hidden behind the nebula and pillars. The dusty blue haze around the pillars is caused by intense ultraviolet radiation from a group of young stars that will eventually evaporate into space. At these wavelengths, astronomers can see the next generation of emerging stars.” An infrared image of the Eagle Nebula shows the plumes piercing through dust and gas to reveal an unusual landscape that is impossible to see with the naked human eye. This iconic design is located within the Eagle Nebula, 6,500 light-years away. NASA’s Hubble Telescope captured the Pillars of Creation for the first time in 1995. Describing the image, NASA said, “The entire frame is strewn with bright, twinkling stars. In the center of the image, the three-column outline extends upwards, surrounded by a blue haze. Black dust and clumps are in the lower center of the image.” Earlier, the space agency shared a stunning image of the “Necklace Nebula” and captioned the image, “Woven from the stardust of nebulae: a cosmic necklace.” It is worth noting that the Vulture Nebula is an open star cluster located in the constellation of the Serpent, regarding 7000 light-years away from us.
