The city of Ghent and its surroundings are currently experiencing a significant traffic of counterfeits which concerns… garbage cans, relays HLN. Indeed, fake garbage bags, created in Bulgaria, are sold at 5 euros per 50-litre roll. Much cheaper therefore than the price of those made available by the intermunicipal company in charge of waste management, Ivago, set at 18.50 euros.
“Yes, it’s counterfeit but no one sees the difference”, say sellers passing through the black market.
Sandra Deneef, spokesperson for Ivago, explains: “This is obviously illegal. We have already received reports of counterfeit bags. Our legal department has also taken action. The matter will be taken to court. .”
