THE Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) must not allow those protecting fugitive Harun Masiku to roam free. This was emphasized by former KPK investigator Yudi Purnomo Harahap in response to the discovery of Masiku’s car on June 25.

“The more open the clues are that a powerful person can protect Harun Masiku. Moreover, he dared to leave his files,” said Yudi to Medcom.idSaturday (14/9/2024).

According to Yudi, the anti-corruption agency must have the courage to issue a sprindik obstruction of justice (obstruction of legal process) bribery case involving former PDIP legislative candidate Harun Masiku.

With only three months left of the leadership of Nawawi Pomolango and his friends, the KPK must improve itself and not let the Masiku case just hang in the balance.

“The Corruption Eradication Committee should also be able to evaluate itself a lot,” he said.

For information, KPK investigators found important documents related to Harun Masiku (HM) in a car suspected of belonging to the fugitive from the anti-corruption agency. The car’s plate number is B 8351 WB with a tax validity period until March 2021.

“In the car, documents related to HM were found,” said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu when confirmed in Jakarta.

Masiku’s black Toyota sedan was found parked in an apartment in Jakarta. There was a lot of dust on the vehicle because it had been neglected for two years.

Based on photos received by Media Group Network, it can be seen from the outside that the vehicle’s seat glass is red with hanging decorations hanging inside the car glass. Behind the car’s front grill, there is a strobe light.

In relation to the investigation into Masiku, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) announced on July 23, 2024 that it had imposed a travel ban on five people related to the investigation into the alleged bribery case involving suspect Harun Masiku (HM).

The KPK has also examined the 2019 Election legislative candidates from PDIP, namely Alexius Akim, to the Secretary General of PDI Perjuangan Hasto Kristiyanto. Hasto on Monday (10/6) was questioned for 4 hours by KPK investigators as a witness for suspect Masiku.

Hasto said he met with investigators for only about 1.5 hours and his examination had not yet entered the main case. (Vania Liu Trixie/P-3)
