Writes poems, mini-dramas, short prose, as well as poetry for children. His literary works, collages and drawings are published in various magazines around the world. For many years, he worked at Bremen Radio as a program author and editor, intensively presenting lyrics from all over the world in his shows. He was the director of the literary festival “Poetry on the Road”, as well as the curator of the international literary caravan “What is Poetry?” in Indonesia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Sujata Bhatt (b. 1956) is a poet and translator of Indian origin living in Bremen (Germany). Born in Ahmedabad, raised in India and USA. Studied at the famous Writer’s Workshop at the University of Iowa. Her poetry has won many awards and has been translated into more than 20 languages. Among other awards, she has won the Commonwealth Poetry Prize, the Cholmondeley Award, the Italian Tratti Poetry Prize, the Bremen-Lower Saxony Literary Prize Das Neue Buch, as well as the Premio International de Poesia Nuevo Siglo de Oro. in Mexico. Translates poems from his native Gujarati and also from German into English.
