In Colruyt, Ahmed stole his favorite product: Jack Daniel’s. But also two bottles of Marie-Galante with Omar (judged him by default). Each time, the thief was caught in the act via CCTV footage.
If usually, some people act in this way to get a few euros in exchange, Ahmed does not need the money. His family is in Belgium and the imprisoned man does not lack resources.
“It’s in my head that it’s not right”, he says to his lawyer Me Cigna. Since these thefts did not take place to meet a need for food, the prosecution hopes for a heavy penalty of three years in prison.
The defense pleads a sentence of less than 12 months in prison. Judgment is expected on July 20.
