Due to heavy rain accompanied by whirlwinds, some streets such as Truong Chinh and Vo Nguyen Giap were partially flooded, causing difficulties for vehicles participating in traffic.

Currently, the Commanding Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Dien Bien province is coordinating with relevant authorities to verify and assess damage and help people overcome the problem.

The Hydrometeorological Station of Dien Bien province warned that the area of ​​​​clouds causing rain, showers and thunderstorms will move to the west of Dien Bien district.

In the evening of February 4, this cloud area continued to grow and expand, causing showers and thunderstorms for the districts of Dien Bien, Muong Ang, Tuan Giao, Tua Chua and Dien Bien Phu city. In thunderstorms need to watch out for tornadoes, lightning and strong winds. Warning level of natural disaster risk caused by tornado, lightning, hail level 1.
