The group of hikers falls, and it is the tragedy: Juana Reyes suffers from a probably broken leg, and the group of friends realizes that they are in a white zone, in other words an area without any network. They try, on numerous occasions, to call the American emergency services, the famous 9-1-1, in vain. This is where the iPhone 14 and its emergency SOS functionality sent by satellite come into play.

At an impasse, and panicked at the idea of not being able to contact anyone, the hikers remember a feature they know but have never used: the sending of emergency SOS by satellite, a true revolution in the era of the modern smartphone. With her leg and ankle in poor condition, the emergency services had no choice but to pick up Juana by helicopter, immediately transferring the young woman to hospital. Result of the races for the hiker: a broken leg and a sprained ankle.
