Until what date can the stimulus check of up to $1,000 be collected?

Residents of Pennsylvania, United States (US), have more time to collect a stimulus check of up to $1,000 if they meet the requirements.

Although the trend in the US is leading to the cancellation of many stimulus checks, there are certain states that continue to provide financial support.

Remember that stimulus checks are direct payments from the federal government intended to provide financial relief to individuals and families during adverse economic circumstances.

So, even though the Covid-19 pandemic, which prompted a large number of stimulus checks, has now been overcome, the truth is that some states consider that the economic situation warrants it.

This is the case in Pennsylvania, where residents can collect between $380 and $1,000 in property tax/rent refunds.

This, depending on your income, age and disability status registered throughout 2023.

However, in order to include more beneficiaries, the deadline has been postponed until December 31.

People eligible to collect the $1,000 stimulus check

It should be noted that Governor Josh Shapiro indicated that the following people can claim the stimulus check:

Households earning less than $45,000 a year, those over age 65, widows at age 50, or disabled at age 18.

The plan is already being implemented and some 442,000 people have applied for it by July 2024, for an estimated value of $226 million.

“Homeowners and renters in Pennsylvania may be eligible to receive up to $1,000 through a standard rebate. The amount of money you will receive is based on your income. Some applicants may also qualify for supplemental rebates,” the program states on its website.
