AFTER 10 years of hiatus, Pic[k]Lock Films returns to the world of Indonesian cinema with its latest work, “See You Later, Hanna!”.
Dewi Umaya, producer of Pic[k]Lock Films, revealed this film is more than just a romantic drama. Apart from presenting a story of love and second chances, Dewi emphasizes a deep message about life decisions and the importance of the life process itself.
As Pic’s first film[k]Lock after a decade, Dewi is very enthusiastic about collaborating with Azoo Project and Fortius Films. “It’s great that after 10 years, we can return with a work that not only entertains, but also has a positive impact on the audience. Our hope is that after watching this film, the audience can go home feeling better and motivated to live life more bravely ,” said Dewi.
Dare to Make Decisions and Appreciate Every Process of Life
In the discussion, Dewi Umaya revealed one of the main themes that she wanted to highlight in the film “See you later, Hanna!” is the importance of courage in making decisions. Many people feel overwhelmed when faced with difficult choices, especially when those decisions impact their own lives or those of others.
“We want to remind the audience that the decisions they make, whether big or small, are an important part of life’s journey,” said Dewi.
Furthermore, Dewi emphasized that this film also wants to convey the message that every phase of life, both up and down, has valuable value. “All processes in life are important. Whether we are up or down, everything has meaning. That is the message we want to convey through this film, and we hope this can be a reminder for many people,” he added.
20 Year Collaboration with Agung Sentausa
When asked about her reasons for choosing Agung Sentausa as director, Dewi explained that their collaboration was nothing new. Dewi and Agung have worked together on several projects for almost two decades.
After last collaborating in 2014, they were brought together again in this film because of their compatibility in terms of visuals, audio and Agung’s storytelling abilities.
“We have been working together for almost 20 years, and I see that compatibility in terms of vision makes this collaboration easier. Even though there have been some conflicts in the past, we have learned a lot from there, especially about how to solve problems when working on projects together,” said Dewi.
He also added that the film “See You Later, Hanna!” is one of the great works that everyone should watch, because it is not only entertaining but also full of meaning.
With a combination of deep messages and strong collaboration, the film “See You Later, Hanna!” It is hoped that it will not only be an ordinary romantic film, but also a work that provides life lessons and motivates the audience. This film is scheduled to be shown in December 2024 in cinemas throughout Indonesia.
