The Unter teachers’ union today resumes its plan of struggle with a 72-hour strike scheduled for this week and the analysis in assemblies of the latest salary proposal presented by the Government in the joint meeting on Friday, which the driving valued as “insufficient”.
Unter will complete his ninth day of strike today since the start of the 2023 school year and plans to continue with force measures tomorrow and on Wednesday, when a new Extraordinary Congress in Roca to define whether or not to accept the latest proposal And in case of rejection, how does the fight plan follow?

Silvana Inostroza, Unter’s general secretary, said following the parity that “the salary proposal is insufficient because it is still far from what we are demanding”. The union asks for a 10 percent increase with March salaries.
The leader also questioned the Carreras government for the use of the “button as a threat”, thus referring to the teacher attendance computer system established by the Ministry of Education weeks ago, before the start of the 8-day strike plan. She also expressed the anger over “discriminatory pay” which was done without making effective the return of the 10% of November to those who were unemployed and the non-payment of the 5% offered with the salaries of March prior to the liquidation.
The new government offer leads to an increase in February to 6%, 7% in March and another 7% in April. With this scheme, the salary recomposition for the month of August will reach a 50.77% accumulated increase. In addition, the proposal for a 100% increase in salary assignments, updating the mobility item, at a value of two liters of super gasoline per kilometer, and the modification of the cap to 1,200 kilometers per month is maintained.
