Unraveling the Threads of Hate: India’s Landmark ‘Love Jihad’ Verdict Exposes Web of Deceit

The biased attitude of a local court judge in the Indian city of Uttar Pradesh towards a Muslim youth is in the news. The judge claimed during the hearing that ‘certain groups force Hindu women to convert illegally and marry them, which threatens the unity and security of India.

The judge claimed that ‘love jihad’ is being used as a weapon to change the demographics of India. The judge linked the illegal conversions to foreign funding.

According to Indian media, Additional District Judge of Uttar Pradesh Ravi Kumar Diwakar made these remarks against a Muslim youth in a case of rape and threats against a woman by hiding his identity. According to the media, Judge Ravi Kumar has sentenced the Muslim youth to life imprisonment in this case.

During the hearing, he said that Additional District Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar claimed that some groups were forcing Hindu women to undergo illegal conversion to attract them for marriage.

The hatred of the heavy judge is not limited here but he also blamed Pakistan and Bangladesh on this issue.

In the same case, the judge added that illegal conversions, carried out under psychological pressure and marriage promises, are funded from foreign sources and require immediate intervention. The judge also alleged that it was part of a larger plan to create conditions like Pakistan and Bangladesh.

According to local media, the court then sentenced 25-year-old Muhammad Aleem to life imprisonment for raping a 20-year-old student. Aleem introduced himself to the victim as ‘Anand’ and established a relationship, leading to forced abortions and threats.

Apart from this, the court also sentenced Aleem’s father, 65-year-old Sabir, to two years in prison for aiding and abetting his son’s crimes.
