Now, as the causes of death were not entirely clear, the authorities are investigating the reasons why the famous man’s life ended. Yesterday police sources revealed the results of the toxicological examination.
In fact, one of the hypotheses was that death might have been caused by an overdose. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office had already completed the autopsy, however, it was listed as ‘postponed’ due to the missing toxicology examination.
The first results of the tests only raise more doubts, since according to TMZ, “Matthew Perry’s death was not the effect of an overdose of fentanyl or methamphetamine, at least that is what the initial tests indicate.”
Police sources indicated that although they did not find this type of drug, the authorities will continue investigating, since antidepressants and prescription anxiety medications were found in his home.
“It is important to note that more in-depth testing is still being done as part of toxicology to analyze whether other illegal drugs are present in his blood and whether the levels of any prescription medications were at harmful doses,” he said.
Furthermore, the aforementioned media reported that this might take between four and six months.
