Unlocking Your Sacred Purpose: Mother Séraphim’s Enduring Guidance for Unleashing a Career That Fulfill’s Your Soul

Finding a job that makes you happy while providing for your needs can be an obstacle course. In a TikTok video shared by the “I love my job” account, mother Séraphim gives some valuable advice for finding your “ideal job”.

What if the best advice for being fulfilled professionally came… From a nun? The TikTok account “I love my job” recently provided proof of this, with a video viewed by more than 300,000 people. After a farmer, a baker, a hairdresser or a business manager, it was a nun named Mother Séraphim who was questioned in the street. When the journalist asks her what her work is, Mother Séraphim responds with a smile, “my work is not of this world!”‘, specifying that she is a “contemplative religious woman”. “We pray for you, for the people who are suffering, and for the world, especially for peace.” A full-time “job” which seems to give complete satisfaction to the nun… For 30 years! “I was called by God at the age of 6,” says Mother Séraphim, who today lives in France.

Confidence in yourself, confidence in God!

But what is the secret to lasting fulfillment in your career, whatever your vocation? Sister Séraphim may have chosen a very particular path in life, but she has her own ideas on the matter. “Always be honest and follow your instinct,” she says before telling those who are Christians to “follow the inspiration given to them” by God. Mother Séraphim finally invites trust, even if the work or mission is not suitable: “there is always another way”, because “God always opens another door or another window”. In other words, everyone must not only have confidence in themselves, but also confidence in God and the purposes He has for each person. Before concluding: “Never give up, because life is beautiful”!
