Do you think you’re getting a good deal on low-cost planes? In Toulouse, the Easy-jet company continues to enjoy success with travelers. It has become the second main company at Blagnac airport. This year, it also opens a new destination from the Pink City, Rhodes in Greece. A development which is part of a positive assessment of the British company.
Low-cost travel, under conditions
Between 2003 and 2023, 19 million passengers flew on Easy Jet. An attendance which is welcomed by deputy director France Réginald Otten. “It’s almost a return to our pre-Covid dating.” The British company particularly praises its attractively priced tickets: flights available to around twenty destinations from Toulouse for around thirty euros. One condition: travel light. Even very light.

Conditions specific to low-cost airlines which nevertheless harm their image. On the square at Toulouse-Blagnac airport, many travelers express distrust of the attractive prices. “We always have surprises, we always have to add 20 euros, 30 euros, 40 euros, because we forgot something, didn’t print the ticket, didn’t take the suitcase option…” groans Julien. This Toulouse resident, who has just returned from vacation, traveled on low-cost planes for a long time but that is now over.

Faced with this skepticism, Easy-Jet, however indicates not to trap anyone with these prices. “The essence of low-cost is choice.”supports Réginald Otten, deputy director of the French branch. “We have these attractive rates, if you just want to sit down with your little bag and go away for 2-3 days. Today’s customers have understood this flexibility and the quality behind it.” In particular, he defends the quality of his company’s services, such as the fact that cabin baggage has no weight limit.

It’s all a question of organization and travel periods, concludes the deputy director. For this summer, the British company, says the majority of its tickets on sale, are available from therefore 35 €.
