During her participation in the first day of activities, the director of the Institute of Comprehensive Wellbeing, Rosalinda Ballesteros, said that during the 11 years that the event has been held, the community has grown enormously, as she highlighted that this year 13 thousand new attendees were registered. to Wellbeing 360.
The expert recalled that “as Aristotle said, happiness is the virtue that is pursued for its own sake,” in addition to being fundamental for development and the elements must be identified to have enormous satisfaction in life.
Happy people work better
In the keynote lecture The Serious Business of Happiness at Work, given by expert Vanessa King, research was discussed that has proven that happiness is important at work.
The author of the book “10 keys to living happily” showed different studies that prove that happy people have better performance at work. She said that it has been proven that when people are happier they have a positive effect on the community, for example: “when people are happier and satisfied they help their colleagues more.”
“Happiness is the key to sustainable performance of people and the leaders of organizations do not need a lot of time to give a moment to share and generate well-being,” said the psychologist, highlighting that the benefit of giving a little time is for the person, but at the same time for the organization.
For this reason, he recommended that leaders support and provide the necessary tools to their company’s staff, since Mexico is one of the countries in which workers experience the most fatigue. Furthermore, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), 75% of Mexicans report stress.
