Six new “padlocks” they entered from AADE in stores in Mykonos, Athens and Poros, after crossovers between the receipts of POS and these cash registers.

These are cases of shopkeepers who collect but they do not pay VAT, nor declare their income.

Through the intersections, the controllers identified and “locked” on four catering businesses in Athens, one in Poros and a clothing store in Mykonos. Because they were found to have accepted payments via POS, for which they never issued a receipt, and/or forwarded it to AADE. That is, customers who pay by card, either do not receive a receipt, or receive the receipt, but the store does not declare it to the tax office.

Specifically, in Petralona and Agia Irini square, four shops were found to have not sent receipts, with a total value of 682,000 euros. In addition to the 48-hour “lockout”, a total fine of 43,000 euros was imposed.

A similar violation was also found in a restaurant in Poros, which had not issued or forwarded receipts for 1,250 euros.
