Needless to say, he really has class, this demon Damon. And so much talent. For their only French date, Damon Albarn and his friends from Blur, a major Britpop group of the 90s, released the horses on the Glenmor stage this Friday evening. A lesson. A slap.
It was a first in Brittany for the quartet, even if Damon Albarn had already walked the plain of Kerampuilh twice. First in 2015 with Oxmo Puccino, to accompany Tony Allen. Then in 2018, with Gorillaz, his second group.

Powerful and energetic
So inevitably, in Carhaix, we were treated to half-salt Blur. Succulent. To eat without moderation. Without having Blur from the overdose. That’s some good old rock. Powerful. Energetic. Incisive. And impertinent at will, as these proud artists of the Perfidious Albion often are. It’s annoying to find them so good, but let’s admit that in the rock register, they are often above the fray. It’s like that.
Leaping and extremely expressive, Damon and his little nice boy face made the show! (Nicolas Oliver)
Leaping and extremely expressive, Damon and his little nice boy face, behind his glasses and under his funny tracksuit, put on during the concert, made the show. Chaining titles from the group’s next album, “The Ballad of Darren”, whose release is announced on July 21, and its planetary hits. The audience, on the whole, loved it. Capsized, even, for some. Girls like boys. Especially on this long-awaited “Song 2”, obviously taken up in chorus. Impressive.
Blur fans enjoyed the concert! (Nicolas Oliver)
