In particular, the perpetrators vandalized light fixtures, leaving exposed electric cables that could cause serious injuries and even electrocution to visitors and as pointed out, some of the damage was done to light fixtures around the perimeter of the new playground, which was built by the Municipality and delivered to the citizens for use, just a few days ago.
The Technical Service of the Municipality noticed the wear and tear in time as part of its regular checks and its electrician immediately repaired the damage.
“However, because the safety of citizens is a priority and since, despite the appeals made by the Municipality from time to time to respect the public space that we all enjoy, the perpetrators seem unconvinced, the Municipality will do the necessary to identify them in order to impose the sanctions provided for by the applicable legislation”, informed the authorities from the Municipality.
