The attorney of the National Superintendence of Higher University Education (Sunedu), Mac Donald Rodríguez, announced that the hearing where the amparo action in favor of the university reform law was suspended by the Judiciary. The institution postponed it until September 16.
“Today we have been surprised by the resolution of the judge in charge of the case. She has rescheduled us until September 16 (…) the judge justifies her rescheduling by saying that on Friday she filed an optional litisconsortium. If this is so, why reschedule a hearing that has been expected for 4 months? This argument of the judge is totally illegal”, she declared to Channel N.

Likewise, Rodríguez indicated that this hearing was scheduled since February and they will have to wait 4 more months to be able to present their points of view.
“The resolution has been notified to Sunedu at 8:15 in the morning, surprise for all that it is being rescheduled for 4 months. Half an hour before we have been notified (…) We have also been surprised with the precautionary measure, this has also been declared inadmissible, the arguments that they indicate are also inadmissible”, he pointed out.
It should be noted that the Plenary of Congress approved with 68 votes in favor, 39 once morest and five abstentions the substitute text that eliminates the participation of professionals chosen by public competition in the Sunedu Board of Directors. Likewise, President Pedro Castillo would have indicated that this would be observed by the Executive.
