With the presence of the Rector of the University of Zulia, Judith Aular de Durán, this Monday, October 9, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Sergio Osorio, began the anniversary program, which is scheduled to take place from this Monday, the 9th. until next Saturday the 14th.

On the occasion of its 77 years, being a vanguard in teaching, research and extension for students who graduate from said house of studies in third and fourth level.
Osorio highlighted the importance of this faculty for the first university in the region, as well as the significance of reaching 77 years of operation:
“This faculty was founded on October 1, 1946, in the former Casa del Obrero auditorium by Doctor Jesús Enrique Lossada, which is celebrated today, it is a faculty that has open arms, which is an important part of LUZ as the others, where we have done a commendable job, together with our Deans, colleagues on the University Council and the rector authorities, to keep this university open as was the mandate of Dr. Lossada.”
Likewise, the Dean indicated that among the university activities there will be cultural and sporting events and a mega health day that will take place this Wednesday, October 11.
Finally, Dr. Sergio Osorio pointed out that currently the university is completely equipped in 90% of its facilities, areas that were almost entirely recovered for the enjoyment of Zulian students.
