University of Hartford Volleyball Team Hosts Gordon in CCC Match

The University of Hartford volleyball team, coming off a thrilling five-set victory, returns to the Chase Family Arena 7 p.m. Thursday to host Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Gordon.

HARTFORD QUICK HITS

Hartford returns to the court for just the fourth time in a month.
Freshman Zahara Quraishi leads the team with 96 digs and 89 kills. She has three double-doubles of the season, including a 23-kill, 19-dig effort in the five-set win over Western New England.
Sophomore Isabella Labrada is second on the team with 45 kills and sophomore Sydney Ball is second with 37.
The setter tandem of sophomore Kylee Connally and freshman Liahnna Orange combined for 209 of the team’s 235 assists. Connally has 111 assists and Orange has 98.
Sophomore Juliana Robinshaw and Connally are tied for the team lead with nine service aces.
Defensively, graduate Hannah Pena has a team-high 16 blocks.

SCOUTING GORDON

Gordon comes into the game on a four-match losing streak.
Juniors Joey Keltner and Annie Murphy have combined for 362 kills with Murphy leading the way with 182.
Freshman Annie Zimmerman is third on the team with 138 kills. She is fifth in the CCC with 34 service aces.
Murphy is second in the CCC with a .347 hitting percentage.
Senior setter Kate Howe leads the CCC with 449 assists and is second with 8.31 assists per set.
