The U is already thinking about taking the CDA and building a mall in Lampa: the owner of the land for the Universidad de Chile stadium is a fan of Chuncho and the conversations are advancing at cruising speed.

The journalist and renowned fan of University of Chile, Hector Awadprovided news about the long-awaited dream of the U’s own stadium. In the program Hablemos del Bulla, by Cristopher Antúnez, Don Tito revealed that Chuncho’s nest is closer than ever and there should soon be news for the first stone.
“I know that the land is halfway advanced, because it belongs to someone from the U. So be careful, eyelashes and eyebrows,” Tito Awad revealed.
As detailed by the former Bundesliga man, the land that Azul Azul is negotiating belongs to a fan of the U, which has taken the conversations on the best and fastest path. The chosen place is in Lampa, thinking with a shopping center included.
“I was talking to a manager and I told him ‘what a shame that I’m going to die without seeing the U stadium’ and he told me ‘you’re stupid, you’re going to see it before you die.’ He told me to my face, I know about the purchase of the land in Lampa,” adds Don Tito.
The face of La Magia assures that Azul Azul will be the one who finances the entire operation: “I have investigated some things and I know it is true. The business for a SA that has not put a peso into the U, because they have not put a peso in, is the stadium, that is their business,” he explains.
Tito Awad states that “I know that the land belongs to a U fan who has money and that they are in talks. I could say a thousand things: it is not going to be just a stadium, because the CDA would go there, this entire complex that we have would go to Lampa. If it comes to fruition, a mall would even be built.”

The U will play Deportes Copiapó on the 24th date of the tournament, scheduled for the weekend of September 23 and 24.
