“We put the agreement in motion through an act in which we commit ourselves from the university, the deans of psychology, dentistry and I for medicine are present, to receive the patients that the ministry refers to our university hospitals and to participate by cooperating in the Programs. of School Health that they have,” explained the Dean.

He commented that Minister Medina Ruiz committed to providing the necessary support to adapt the infrastructure and be able to provide the best possible care.

Regarding the care that the medical school will specifically provide, he said: “We commit the ophthalmology chair, but when we think regarding school health we already anticipate that it will be otorhinolaryngology, pediatrics and other fields.”

Mateo Martínez mentioned that “in the School Health Program we know that children with visual and hearing problems have learning problems so the presence of the chair is key for the child to return to his potential.”

When asked regarding the opening hours, the Dean communicated that it is in the morning, but that the Ministry requested an extension of the hours and this will be evaluated later.
