Universidad Católica broke an unusual record in a match against Flamengo

During this Thursday followingnoon Universidad Católica faced Flamengo in a new duel of the Copa Libertadoreswhere the Crusaders lost 3-2 at the San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium, also breaking a curious record.

Throughout the game, the Brazilian team started with the first shot in their favor, but minutes later an error by Huaso Isla tied the score following an own goal.

The same situation occurred in the second half, following Flamengo scored their second and third shots, when an error by Pablo Nascimiento Castro following a cross by Diego Buonanotte made the Crusaders’ second shot, also with an own goal.

In other words, the Chilean team achieved its two goals with errors from the Brazilian club, which caught the attention of users on the web, where a tweeter stated that UC broke a particular record.

“Universidad Católica is the FIRST team to LOSE a game in the ENTIRE history of the Copa Libertadores following benefiting from two own goals,” he detailed on the social network, generating various reactions.
