Ministry of Magic, the new Harry Potter film at Universal
Epic Universe is Universal’s most ambitious theme park to date. It will offer an unparalleled level of immersion and innovation with over 50 amazing attractions, entertainment options, dining experiences, and shops that will combine to create an epic adventure, as the name suggests. “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – The Ministry of Magic” will be one of the five worlds that visitors can explore in the new park. This space will be added to the existing ones from the magical saga: Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, the Hogwarts Express, and Hogsmeade.
The latest addition to the wizarding world will transport visitors not only into the Harry Potter films but also into the magical universe of the prequel, Fantastic Beasts. The park will merge the magical Paris of the 1920s from the Harry Potter films with the fantastic world of the prequel, Fantastic Beasts, from Warner Bros. Pictures, along with the iconic British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series.
Access to this new themed area will be through a portal located in Celestial Park, one of the four zones in Epic Universe. In the images released by Universal, the Elder Wand can be seen in the portal design. As it is known, the Elder Wand is a crucial element in the films of Epic Universe. The portal will celebrate the connection between Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, confirming the celebration of both film series.
While Universal has not disclosed specific details regarding the new Harry Potter area, it is known to include an indoor roller coaster that is expected to be as thrilling as those in the other four themed worlds of the new park.

Epic Universe, Universal’s new park
In addition to the magical world, Epic Universe will feature four new themed areas: Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon, and Dark Universe.
Celestial Park will serve as the entrance to explore the four other worlds within Epic Universe. It is a “park” within the theme park that will enchant guests with beautiful gardens, waterways, and pathways. Visitors can enjoy the views, embark on a thrilling roller coaster adventure, dine on delicious cuisine, or purchase exclusive merchandise to remember their visit. Moreover, at Super Nintendo World, guests will enter the iconic green tube and discover the world of Mario Bros.
Epic Universe will bring back legendary monsters from Universal such as Dracula, the Wolf Man, and Frankenstein. Dark Universe will offer guests monstrous adventures through various attractions, shops, restaurants, and character encounters that will delight classic Monsters fans. Guests can dress up as their favorite monsters, ride a family-friendly roller coaster through the forest, or visit Frankenstein Manor, the most chilling attraction at Universal Orlando in this new themed area.
Additionally, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk is an impressive environment with intricate architecture, lush landscaping, and vibrant dragon habitats. Visitors can enjoy four attractions, a live show, and multiple character and dragon encounters.

What can you find in the world of Harry Potter at Universal?
The world of Harry Potter first opened its doors in 2010 and can be visited in two Universal parks: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Universal Studios is home to the famous Diagon Alley shopping street, where Harry Potter buys all his Hogwarts supplies in the magical saga. Diagon Alley features shops selling souvenirs, Butterbeer, and magic wands.
Within Diagon Alley, visitors will find the Weasley brothers’ shop where they can purchase interactive games, board games, and other items created by Fred and George Weasley. Guests can also visit Ollivanders, where they can have the unique experience of choosing their own magic wand. Each wand comes with a map showing locations in the park where it can be used to perform magical feats.
Visitors can take a picture in front of Gringotts Bank, featuring a dragon that breathes fire every 15 minutes. Inside the bank, guests can experience the only Harry Potter ride: “Harry Escapes from Gringotts,” a 4D simulator that combines the thrill of a roller coaster with obstacles and dark wizards.

To reach Islands of Adventure, guests can take the Hogwarts Express. At Islands of Adventure, visitors will find the village of Hogsmeade, the hangout spot for Hogwarts students. Guests can explore snow-covered huts, shops selling magical items, magical sweets, and the Three Broomsticks restaurant for a delicious meal following a fun day.

Islands of Adventure also boasts the magnificent Hogwarts Castle, where visitors can explore corridors, Dumbledore’s office, and the Gryffindor common room. Guests can also experience “Forbidden Forest,” a 4D simulator that takes them on a thrilling adventure flying on a broomstick with Harry and friends. The park features two Harry Potter-themed roller coasters: Flight of the Hippogriff for families and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure for thrill-seekers.

At Dark Universe, guests will be immersed in monstrous adventures through a variety of attractions, shops, restaurants, and character encounters that will thrill everyone from families to classic Monsters fans. Guests can dress up as their favorite monsters, ride through the forest aboard a thrilling family-friendly roller coaster, or enter Frankenstein Manor to experience Universal Orlando’s most chilling attraction in this new themed land.

What can you find in the world of Harry Potter at Universal?
The world of Harry Potter opened its doors in 2010 and since then it can be visited in two parks Universal: Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. At Universal Studios is home to the famous Diagon Alley shopping street. As you may remember, in the films of the magical saga, Harry Potter buys all his materials for Hogwarts in this shopping alley: from books to his beloved pet, Hedwig. Faithful to the successful saga, in Diagon Alley you can find shops to buy souvenirs, enjoy a Butterbeer, or find the perfect magic wand.
In Diagon Alley, you will find the Weasley brothers’ shop, where you can buy interactive games, board games, curious items, and other souvenirs created by the most entertaining wizards in the saga of Harry Potter, Fred, and George Weasley. Continuing the tour, you can enter the Ollivanders shop, which usually has a waiting time because here you can live the exciting experience of choosing your own magic wand. Ollivanders helps visitors choose their magic wand from an infinite number of options. Each magic wand comes with a map that shows the locations in the park where it can be used to turn on lights, activate water fountains, move objects, and more.
Visitors can also take a photo in front of the Gringotts Bank, which has a dragon on top that throws fire every 15 minutes. Inside the bank, you can enter the only Harry Potter game in this park: “Harry Escapes from Gringotts”. A 4D simulator that has the thrill of a roller coaster, in which visitors will have to overcome obstacles and dark wizards to escape from the magic bank.

To get to Island of Adventure, you can take the Hogwarts Express. Visitors can stroll through King’s Cross Station while waiting for the famous train to arrive, which is a favorite attraction for Harry Potter fans. Once inside, they can experience the journey to Hogsmeade through the window and take photos in the cabin, which is identical to the one that appears in the films. Please note that to access the train, you must have a “Park to Park” ticket in addition to having tickets for both parks.
In Island of Adventure, you will find the village of Hogsmeade, the place of rest that the students of Hogwarts attended in the remembered films. Its snow-covered, pointed huts immerse the visitor in the magical world. In its streets, you can find shops to buy clothes, accessories, and all kinds of magical souvenirs, shops selling magical sweets, and even the Three Broomsticks restaurant, where you can have lunch following a long day of fun.

This park also has the incomparable Hogwarts Castle, which can be accessed to see its corridors, Dumbledore’s office, and the Gryffindor common room. In addition, there is “Forbidden Forest,” a 4D simulator in which visitors will fly on a broomstick with Harry and his friends on an exciting adventure. Island of Adventure contains the two roller coasters of Harry Potter. Flight of the Hippogriff is an ideal option for the whole family. Visitors will fly aboard the hippogriff on a short but exciting roller coaster ride. On the other hand, for speed lovers, “Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure” is the perfect opportunity to challenge the limits of adrenaline and immerse themselves in the hut of Hagrid, the beloved character from the magical saga.
