Asunción, IP Agency.- The Health Information System (HIS) has already exceeded 600 medical centers where it is implemented, allowing the exchange of information with a view to the complete digitization of the history of users of the public health system.
During September, 44 new services were added to the information system, in what is an acceleration of the process initiated by the current administration of the Ministry of Health.
There are already 607 establishments of all levels of care in the 18 health regions of the country within the HIS System. Since the beginning of its application, in 2017, 28,790,272 have been reported, of which 9,933,955 correspond to the year 2024.
The HIS System allows the collection of data and generation of reports in real time about consultations, available beds, stock of medications, requested studies and other patient care processes.
This project is carried out jointly between the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare (MSPYBS), the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC) and the Technical Mission of the Republic of China (Taiwan), through the “Project for the Improving Efficiency in Health IT Management (Phase 3)”, and has the support of KOICA, Itaipú Binacional, the World Bank and the IDB.
