United States – She presses the wrong button and pockets 10 million

An American woman won the jackpot thanks to a strange combination of circumstances.

She first cursed before exploding with joy: LaQuedra Edwards had just inserted 40 dollars into a machine that distributed scratch cards in Tarzana, California, when a “rude” individual pushed her around. She suddenly pressed the wrong button and received a ticket she did not want.

Very upset not to have been able to buy the tickets she used to take, she mechanically scratched the distributed ticket. And that’s when she realized she had won… $10 million. “I really didn’t believe it at first,” she told the California lottery, which released the information a few months following the “miracle.”

“I got on the freeway and kept looking at the ticket. I even almost had an accident.” The woman then stopped and scanned the ticket with the California Lottery app which confirmed her winnings. “I’m still in shock,” she said. “The only thing I remember is saying, ‘I’m rich!’ The lucky winner plans to buy a house and create a non-profit association.
