However, the woman only opened it very recently, 15 years later. After hesitating several times, she finally decided to auction, reports Business Insider. She was right to wait, because in October 2022, an identical model sold for $40,000. “If I could wait another ten years before selling this phone, I probably would”, she confided. “The only reason I’m selling this phone is because I need to support my business“, she added.
L’iPhone priced at over $60,000 is a far cry from the technological prowess of Apple’s current models. The device with a memory of 4 or 8 GB has a 3.5-inch screen and a camera of just 2 megapixels.
