The United Russia party is preparing events in honor of the celebration of National Unity Day, the main one of which will be the “Russia is a United Family” campaign. More than 80 regions of the country will take part in the events. The program of events is published on the United Russia website.
“Party activists will hold patriotic flash mobs, festivals, car rallies, and charity events in support of military personnel and families of military military personnel,” the party’s press service reports.
In the Moscow region, activists plan to prepare traditional dishes from national cuisines. As the secretary of the Moscow branch of United Russia and vice-speaker of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy said, activists and party members will also visit hospitals with SVO soldiers and hold memorial events in honor of the participants of the Great Patriotic War.
“In the Kurgan region, in honor of this event, municipal cultural institutions and libraries will hold exciting events for Trans-Ural residents of different ages during the week, including educational programs, master classes, and flash mobs,” the head of the executive committee of the United Russia party told URA.RU Kurgan region Rodion Vyatkin. Politicians are reported to have recruited activists to teach tolerance lessons and patriotic homerooms in schools in the Kurgan region. According to Vyatkin, local cultural centers will hold concerts for residents. It is noted that a rally-concert will be held in Kurgan on November 4.
The “Russia is a United Family” campaign was held for the first time last year. Activists collect souvenir sets for large and needy families of SVO participants from other regions and send them to each other.
