Enrique Valles Ramos, representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (Acnur) in Venezuela, said that this organization is making efforts to find solutions within the country and thus stop the displacement of citizens abroad.

During an interview with the program Háblame Bajito, from Radio Fe y Alegría Noticias, Ramos explained that, in the field of protection, health centers have been provided.

In addition, from January to May of this year, assistance was provided to approximately 39,000 beneficiaries in Venezuela, distributing 2,500 endowments to institutions and 327 to vulnerable people.

Likewise, 825 hygiene kits were delivered to disadvantaged communities and people with specific needs.

Valles pointed out that they have also attended the area of ​​emergency accommodation, provision of basic goods, water and sanitation, as well as emergency response and prevention.
