United in Wellness: Lazio’s Quest for Balance on and off the Pitch

WHAT’S NEW IN FOOTBALL MEDICINE

Focus on Rehabilitation (07/10/2024 – S.S. Lazio Training Center)

The Society, at the S.S. Lazio Training Center in Formello, on Monday 07/10/2024 hosted 132 people including specialists, students and listeners with the focus of the discussion on prevention and rehabilitation.

An appointment that has been renewed for three years, with the SS Lazio promoter of the conference, thanks to President Sen. Claudio Lotito and to the Coordinator of the Biancocelesti health staff Prof. Fabio Rodia. In the press room of the Sports Center the guests had the opportunity to discuss the issues of the post-injury process and to go to the Lazio Lab area to closely observe the cutting-edge machinery used for the rehabilitation process.

Careful management of the rehabilitation process not only accelerates recovery, but reduces the risk of relapses, thus ensuring continuity of sports performance.
The event aims to encourage the sharing of skills and disseminate the latest innovations in the field of sports rehabilitation, contributing to the professional growth and protection of athletes’ well-being.

To close the day, the gala dinner held at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.

HEALTH FOR CHILDREN S.S. LAZIO
(08/10/2024 – Olympic Stadium)

On Tuesday 08/10/2024 at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, in parallel with the medical conference What’s New in Football Medicine, SS Lazio gave life to the event Health for Children. The initiative, strongly supported by Dr. Cristina Mezzaromais aimed at children and young people from ten family homes in the Roman area. From 09.30 to 15.30, inside the gazebos positioned in front of the hospitality area of ​​the Capitoline facility, the young patients had the precious opportunity to undergo free medical screening and visits aimed at specialist checks in various medical areas : Orthopedics (with specialist staff from the S.Paolo hospital in Civitavecchia), Ophthalmology (Gemma Medica), Endocrinology (IFO Hospital), Cardiology (Villa Mafalda), Dermatology (Celio Hospital).
The project was born from the desire to guarantee access to preventive care and health assessment to one hundred children and young people in vulnerable situations.
