Asunción, IP Agency.- With the aim of strengthening the Government Scholarship Program, with a view to the 2025 call, a working meeting was held between representatives of Itaipu Binacional; of the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY); from the Ministry of Education and Sciences (MEC); from the National Youth Secretariat (SNJ); from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) and the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Asunción (FIUNA).
Rogelio Sallaberry, Social Responsibility advisor at Itaipu, commented that on the occasion, strategies were discussed to optimize the selection process, strengthen the scope of the program and guarantee that the scholarships respond to the educational and professional needs of the country.
He emphasized that, in line with the instructions of the Government and the Paraguayan general director of the Binacional, Justo Zacarías Irún; Transparency and responsibility will continue to be the fundamental pillars in the scholarship awarding process.
During the meeting, the general closing of the 2024 call was discussed as the first item on the agenda. Then, suggestions were made to improve the process and finally a tentative schedule for the 2025 call was defined, in order to optimize human and financial resources.
After the meeting, the participants reported that the bases were established for closer collaboration between the institutions involved in the Scholarship Program of the Government of Paraguay.
The Government ratifies its commitment to the education of the country’s outstanding young people through the implementation of a unified university scholarship program.
