The American airline United Airlines suspended all take-offs on Tuesday midday because of an unspecified “generalized technological problem”.
“The grounding is now lifted,” the company said around 2 p.m. on X, formerly Twitter.
“We have found a solution to remedy the technological problem and the flights have resumed,” she continued, without further details.
Earlier, she had reported “a widespread technological problem” which had forced her to ground “all planes at their departure airports”.
She had specified that the devices already in flight continued towards their destinations as planned.
The American agency supervising aviation, the FAA, had made it known that the company had itself requested this suspension in the United States.
In an information notice published on its website, the FAA specified that this request was valid until 2 p.m. and that it was due to “an equipment failure”.
