How regarding a nighttime walk of more than two kilometers punctuated by paintings, sculptures and other illuminated works of art? A true visual poem, Light in the Seine brings together immersive scenographies in the Saint-Cloud area with a magical journey made up of 100% reusable LEDs. The event is accessible on December 25 and until January 14 for an entry ticket between €22 and €27.

Here’s a look at last year’s edition:

In Bordeaux, no less than 750 decorations and 120 sites will be highlighted to celebrate New Year’s Eve brilliantly. And why not get straight on the trail of Santa Claus? You can at least try in one of its resorts, in Reims, Paris or even Annecy. An elf guides you through each room of the house to discover fun activities. You will have the chance to meet Santa’s reindeer and the elves’ toy making workshop. Entrance price: around twenty euros per person.

Cultural or solidarity Christmas

Christmas is also an opportunity to indulge in daydreaming and the world of Culture has thought of us. Between musicals, intimate theater, large-scale shows, circus or Christmas markets: you will certainly find what you are looking for, even at the last minute. Many cities such as Toulouse, Nice and Lille also offer free shows and concerts for all ages. The programs can most often be found on the town hall website.

And for those who do not have the desire or the possibility to spend New Year’s Eve with their loved ones, initiatives are being organized all over France. The Fondation de France is mobilizing throughout the country and overseas with nearly 200 Solidarity Eves. These meetings organized by local associations promote mutual aid between people in difficulty and residents of the same neighborhood. Do not hesitate to go to the Fondation de France website to find the interactive map of New Year’s Eve, gift distributions, cooking workshops or activities organized for children in the coming days.
