Union Budget 2023 | Stipend for 47 lakh young women; Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme

New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a new scheme to provide financial assistance to 47 lakh youth within three years. The Minister announced the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme during the budget speech. According to this, stipend will be made available to 47 lakh young women. This is a scheme where the stipend amount is paid directly into the account.

It was announced in the budget that 157 new nursing colleges will be established in the country. Nursing colleges will be started in addition to the 157 medical colleges that started functioning since 2014.

748 Ekalavya model schools in the tribal region have also been announced in the budget. The minister also informed that the central government will appoint 38,800 teachers for this purpose in the next three years. The Minister said that 30 Skill India International Centers will be set up across the country within three years to make the career dreams of the youth a reality.

A National Digital Library will be established to provide access to world-class books for children and adolescents. The budget also proposed to establish physical libraries at panchayat and ward levels to make digital facilities available to those who do not have digital facilities.
