The message “Fiscal justice now” was projected on Tuesday morning, at sunrise, on the Tour des Finances in Liège. It was an action by the FGTB Liège-Huy-Waremme, as part of the day of trade union action on February 14 for more tax justice and once morest rising energy prices.
“The profits of companies in the energy, luxury goods, food distribution, banking sectors, … have never been so high. We are talking regarding historic profits. have never been so poor”, denounces the FGTB Liège-Huy-Waremme.
Actions are organized by the socialist union and the CSC all over the country, in Brussels, La Louvière, Mons, Marche, Verviers, Eupen and in Flanders as well. These actions will have repercussions on TEC traffic in Walonia and De Lijn in Brussels and in Flanders.
For their part, the STIB, the Brussels transport service and the SNCB are not taking part in this day of action.
In Marche, anger is also brewing and around 1,500 demonstrators marched in the streets to show their discontent.
