Antonio Tajani on a system mission in Argentina. Today the deputy prime minister and foreign minister had a face-to-face meeting with Javier Milei, president of the South American nation, documenting the meeting with a message on X: “Today at the Casa Rosada for a friendly meeting with President Milei. Italy and Argentina share the same values and principles, above all that of freedom.”
Yesterday the leader of Forza Italia had written an editorial for the newspaper La Nacion, talking about the relations between the two countries: “In an era marked by new challenges and profound international tensions, the friendship between Italy and Argentina is a fixed point of Italian foreign policy, a harmony between peoples, even before between governments. We welcomed with great interest the first choices of the Milei government in foreign policy and the determination with which the new administration is trying to carry out necessary and incisive reforms to stimulate economic growth and restore competitiveness to the country. The points of contact and areas of collaboration between Italy and Argentina are countless. Our countries are, after all, two great democracies that share such an important part of their culture and history. Italy – underlined Tajani – will always be at the side of Argentina and its people. Italy and Argentina are a unique and unrepeatable example in the world, we are one people, we are one nation.”
