UNICEF: Humanitarian aid to more than 11 million children in Yemen

2.2 million children, including 540,000 children, suffer from severe malnutrition.

Between March 2015 and November 2022, the United Nations has confirmed that more than 11,000 children have been killed or seriously injured in the ongoing conflict in Yemen. More than 4,000 children have been recruited and used by parties to the conflict. And there have been over 900 attacks. 8 million people need mental health and psychosocial services. More than 2.3 million children still live in camps for internally displaced people. 24 March 2023 – Eight years of brutal conflict have destroyed the lives of millions of children in Yemen and left 11 million in need of one or more humanitarian aid. UNICEF has warned that without urgent action, millions more will be at risk of malnutrition.
