Under the motto “New paradigms for business sustainability”, The congress includes conferences on different topics around social responsibility in companies, panel discussions and reflection sessions.
At the beginning of the congress, it was chosen as new international president to the German businesswoman, based in Belgium, Sigrid Marz, former president of Uniapac Europe, who replaces the Portuguese Bruno Bobone.
The Mexican delegation, the largest after the Filipino host, is chaired by businessmen José Ignacio Mariscal Toroellaformer president of Uniapac International, and the Yucatecan María de Lourdes Gómory Martínez de Menéndezcurrent president of Usem Uniapac (Social Union of Businessmen of Mexico).
Entrepreneurs also participate Manuel Fitzmaurice Castrofrom Chihuahua, president of Uniapac Latin America and former president of Usem Uniapac México, and Eugenio Cárdenas Zaragozafrom Jalisco, former national president.
Businessmen Mariscal Toroella, Fitzmaurice Castro and Gómory Martínez were in charge of presenting the “Uniapac Protocol”, a new system for measuring social responsibility in companies.
The congress takes place until Saturday the 26th at the Manila Marriott hotel, located in the modern convention, shopping and entertainment center “Resorts World Manila”, adjacent to the airport of the Philippine capital.
