On the 27th of June, grief descended on the city of Aqaba, in southern Jordan, following a tank containing toxic chlorine gas fell while trying to transport it in the port of Aqaba, killing 13 people and more than 200 injured.

A woman also killed her son-in-law and burned his body, due to family disputes. A woman in her fifties was killed following being stabbed several times due to theft. A suspect stabbed her on the pretext of theft in the Ramtha district of Irbid, and a husband in Jerash killed his wife and son following shooting them.
In a crime that is considered one of the most heinous family murders; A husband set his house on fire and burned himself, killing his three children instantly.
A child also ended his life with a gun by shooting himself with his father’s weapon in the capital, Amman.
