“Unfortunate anniversary”: Thomas Müller infected again with corona virus

national player Thomas Müller has once more with the Coronavirus infected. As the German record champion FC Bayern Munich announced on Monday, the 32-year-old tested positive. He is fine, he is in domestic isolation.

A year ago, Müller missed the final of the 2021 Club World Cup due to a corona infection and had been brought back to Munich with a special plane from Qatar.

“Unfortunately, I tested positive for the corona virus once more in February. A sad anniversary, but I’m fine so far. Thank you for the well wishes. I’ll have a good rest this week and be back in business quickly, at least I hope so “Müller said in a video on Instagram.

On Sunday, Müller still played in Munich’s 4-1 win over SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The midfielder is now out at least for Bayern’s Bundesliga game at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Most recently, national player Jamal Musiala was absent from Bayern at the beginning of February because of Corona. The people of Munich were hard hit by corona cases at the start of the year. At the 1: 2 start of the second half of the season once morest Borussia Mönchengladbach, coach Julian Nagelsmann had to do without a total of 13 professionals, including nine due to positive corona tests.
