“Smile”, “Alfie”, “Fuck You”. You undoubtedly know the British singer Lily Allen, or at least her most famous songs that have paraded on the radio, and therefore in your ears.
Today, for the “Life’s a Beach” podcast, the singer is back behind the microphone. She does not sing but confides in certain moments of her life, including her first time. A moment of which she does not particularly have good memories. It happens on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
“I lost my virginity in Brazil to a guy called Fernando and I never spoke to him once more. […] I was on vacation with my father and my brother and, of course, I didn’t come back to my room and I slept there until the next morning”, confides the artist. Without news, his family had time to worry. Enough to call the police, who started looking for him. “People thought I drowned and I didn’t feel like saying ‘no, no, I was just losing my virginity.’
This moment with Fernando is not especially a good memory for Lily Allen, who speaks of a “a bit traumatic” experience. “I didn’t have sex for a little while following that,” adds the Briton.
