The inauguration of the IGF administrative building by President Tshisekedi is widely commented on by the newspapers published this Wednesday in Kinshasa.
Addressing the subject, Prosperity indicated that on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, inaugurated the new administrative building of the General Inspectorate of Finance, located on Avenue des Forces Armés, in the commune of Gombe.
Also addressing the subject, the Daily revealed that the general management of the IGF unanimously decided to name this building “Étienne Tshisekedi Wa Mulumba”, in homage to the fierce fight of this emblematic figure against the anti-values which affected the public management of the country.
In the same register, The Journal indicates that during the ceremony, Jules Alingete, Inspector General, head of department of the IGF, gave a speech in which he praised the commitment of the Head of State to the reform of public management.
For his part, Africanews specifies that this new building which has a total surface area of 7,587.90
square meters cost approximately 8.65 million USD, before revealing why the building bears the name of Étienne Tshisekedi.
« The choice of Tshisekedi Sr. stems from the desire to honor the memory of this politician who devoted his life to the “intractable fight against the anti-values which have corrupted public management” in DR Congo. By honoring the memory of the Sphinx of Limete, the IGF wants, at the same time, to encourage the inspectors who will work in this building to imbue themselves with the spirit of integrity and patriotism that characterized this high personality.“, specifies the tabloid.
