West Kalimantan – Mandala Shoji and his wife, Maridha Deanova, experienced an unpleasant incident while they were working in West Kalimantan. This celebrity couple was forcibly evicted from the four-star hotel where they were staying.

According to Maridha Deanova, they were supposed to stay until December 9, 2023, but on December 8, 2023, their suitcases and belongings were removed without notification from the hotel.
Maridha then shared a video on her personal Instagram account, showing that the valve closing her suitcase was damaged and might not be closed and locked. In the video, Maridha Deanova also wrote an open message to the hotel, complaining regarding the actions taken.

“Haiii goldentulippontianak @goldentuliphotels my suitcase has a TSA lock… you guys forced me to pack it so I closed my suitcase at will, now my suitcase can’t be closed, how can I go back to Jakarta?” wrote Maridha, quoted from Instagram @denova_zaes on Tuesday, December 12 2023.
He asked whether this action might be considered vandalism. They also confirmed that previously there had been confirmation of check-out until the 9th from the Mandala Shoji room committee. However, on the 8th their belongings were taken out without permission, their suitcase was damaged and several items were missing.
“This is vandalism, right? How is it clear that at the beginning it was signed by the chairman of the room committee @mandalaabadishoji until on the 9th, 8th, you took our things out without our permission and our suitcases were damaged and some of them weren’t there…??” he continued.
On December 8 2023, Maridha Deanova also uploaded a video of her complaint because she felt she had been forcibly evicted from the 4-star hotel. He considered the hotel’s treatment to be unethical and detailed that his personal belongings, including underwear and lingerie, were held by hotel staff without permission.
“This was a very unethical incident at the Gol T* Hotel in Pontianak, my belongings were packed by the hotel without my permission at all! Even though it’s a lot of personal stuff!! Underwear!! Lingerie!!” he complained.
Maridha Deanova explained that on that day, Mandala Shoji was the MC at the hotel. However, the hotel did not notify Mandala regarding check-out or removing guests’ personal belongings.
“My things were packed and taken out of the hotel!! To shake hands with men I take care not to shake hands! Personal items held by their person without my permission! Where I have booked until Sunday!” said an angry Maridha.
