UNESCO Trains Young Girls in Entrepreneurship in Lambaréné

The General Secretariat of the Gabonese National Commission for UNESCO, in collaboration with the NGO “FANA VAZ”, recently trained the “young girls” through a workshop organized in Lambaréné, provincial capital of Moyen Ogooué (center of the country). on entrepreneurial culture in schools.

The action aimed to encourage schooled youth, particularly girls, to entrepreneurial activity for certain empowerment, taking into account current issues characterized by the difficulties for young graduates to access decent employment.

Satisfied with this initiative which gives the necessary basics to young female students to gradually integrate into working life, the Director of the Provincial Academy of Middle Ogooué, Annie-Flore Bouanga Simbouwe Epse Reteno Ndiaye, urged the participants to take ownership lessons received.

“Dear learners, the orientation of the world economic order focused on the evolution of international trade requires us and leads us to a real diversification of economic activities. At this level, the economies of countries like ours can no longer rely and count on the employment offered by so-called public state structures. It is now a question of creating wealth by turning to income-generating activities, for real development of the private sector,” she indicated, subsequently calling on the latter to take real advantage of this “position that you have today, by maximizing the achievements of this training”.

The participants, for their part, thanked UNESCO and the Provincial Academy for the attention paid to them in relation to this important training.

“We are committed to putting into practice all the lessons learned during this workshop”rejoiced Virginie Barro Rendjogo, participant.
